Fuste Group is proud of its history spanning over thirty-years. Through it, it has become a reference company in Portugal and Poland. In 1992, Fuste began its relationship with Jerónimo Martins Group, building Recheio stores under a design-build formula.
In 1996, Gesfuste was created in order to respond to the management and maintenance of commercial spaces, namely Recheio and Pingo Doce. The challenging demand led the Group to development solutions which would ensure 24h/365 service.
In 2002 Lexarq was created, as a result of independence of the Architecture department at Fuste. Lexarq later started to work independently for other markets and clients, namely in Angola.
In the early 2000s, the Group stabilized its presence in the Portuguese market with a diversified portfolio of clients and types of services. The Group’s internationalization began in 2012 with the goal of constructing Hebe stores in Poland. However it reached a significant dimension with the remodeling and construction of Biedronka stores, an exemplar brand of the Jerónimo Martins Group. Fuste became fully responsible for the design and build of Biedronka supermarket chain, which has grown at a high and fast rate. Due to this, Fuste has earned the Forbes Diamond - Fastest Growing Company award for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019).
The importance of the Polish market for Fuste is currently embodied in three companies - Fuste Polska (construction), Fuste Management (acquisition and management of equipment) and Fuste Service (maintenance of the 3,250 Biedronka stores), of which their activity is mainly concentrated in Jerónimo Martins.
In 2020, the Group expanded its portfolio to new customers, namely in the design and build regime for Bricomarché and construction of Primark stores.
Since 1991, the Group has continuously expanded their services portfolio. In 2014, Fuste Energy was incorporated to become responsible for energy management and efficiency of a few hundred buildings in Portugal and Poland. In 2019, a team was created for the acquisition and management of equipment for ARA (Colombia), Pingo Doce (Portugal), Recheio (Portugal) and Biedronka (Poland) stores.
After experiencing such domestic and international growth, the Group was restructured in 2019, which led it to changing its Holding to the Netherlands. Imofuste and the Holding have been the main investment vehicles, with long-term income strategy. The real estate investments in Portugal and the Netherlands are due to investing a significant percentage of the Group's annual profits.
Established in 1991, Fuste bases its value proposition quality, accuracy, versatility and speed of execution, whilst building a close partnership relationship with each of our clients.
The acquired know-how allows Fuste to respond in conception and construction to several different typologies of civil construction works, demonstrated in our portfolio. We also manage to deliver in multiple geographies across Europe.
